Jennifer Dinwiddie, AKA DJ Pillowtalk, didn’t start with a dream of flashing lights and huge crowds; rather, she took the stage to fill a need. As the bar manager of Margaret Place, she got tired of DJs blowing out empty dance floors and playing everything but what people wanted to hear. Instead, she reads the crowd first, happily takes requests, and builds a soundtrack for savoring the moment. Jen adds her own spin through the layering of her own field recordings, dusty cassettes, and a broad library that spans from the latest bootlegs and flips to the nostalgia-laden oldies her grandparents played.

DJ Pillowtalk is a self-sufficient mobile DJ available for most events. She is capable of providing lights, speakers, and as a venue operator herself, she has the contacts and expertise to connect you with what other service providers your vision may require. Rates are quoted on a per-event basis, with preference given to queer, non-profit, and community-driven events.
